Does NPC need to have said item in the inventory? Or will it spawn an item in their inventory which they will then equip?

Isn't the console command of equipitem for NPC working anymore? I downloaded a random armor for CBBE and built it in body slide and actually got the ID's.

Nope. There are various outfit manager mods around the place which might do the trick, but this sounds like a bug from a mod you've already installed!

Go into your inventory, and then right click on one weapon, and left click on the next. This way the weapons you selected will end up in both hands.
